Must meet these requirements for a Retiree ID and other Benefits associated with being a “retiree.” Benefits may differ depending on years of retirement creditable service and/or age.
Definition of a “Retiree”: A University of Tennessee retiree is an individual who, immediately prior to termination, has met the eligibility requirements for retirement of the State
of Tennessee.
Those requirements for Legacy TCRS, ORP, and JCRS members are:
- Age 60 with at least 5 years of service
- Age 55 with at least 10 years of service
- Any age with at least 25 years of service
Those requirements for Hybrid TCRS and ORP members are:
- Age 65 with at least 5 years of service OR by reaching rule of 90 (Age + Years of Creditable service = 90)
- Age 60 with at least 5 years of service OR by reaching rule of 80 (Age + Years of Creditable service = 80)
